Top-20 Finish Tops Off Consistent Run for Rookie Austin Hill

In his second career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at Homestead Miami Speedway, Austin Hill and the No. 20 Lone Survivor Foundation, Alien Gear Holsters, Lawless Jerky Ford team finished 17th in the Ford EcoBoost 200. After starting the 134-lap event from the 24th position, the Winston, GA native found himself battling well inside the top-20 when the nights first caution flew on lap 13. Crew chief Mike Abner called Hill to pit road for four tires, fuel and a right rear wedge adjustment. While trying to exit pit road, a slow truck blocked Hill in his pit stall, forcing him to lose several positions. Restarting 28th, Hill battled the poor track position and found himself cracking the top-15 after a lap 114 restart. Wrestling a tight handling race truck, Hill brought his No. 20 Lone Survivor Foundation, Alien Gear Holsters, Lawless Jerky Ford home in the 17th position.

AUSTIN HILL QUOTE:

“We had a solid top-15th place truck tonight and had to battle through some tough track position early on after getting trapped on pit road. Fortunately, we were able to salvaged a top-20 finish tonight and we capped off our first season in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on a solid note. I can not begin to thank everyone at Austin Hill Racing for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. I also want to thank my family and fans and all of our great partners, including Lone Survivor Foundation, Alien Gear Holsters and Lawless Jerky. Without all of them, this wouldn’t be possible.”
